Motovun in Zagreb/ Lauba, people & art house
After ,,Hidden projections'' in Zagreb and in Rijeka, and the popular hill of good films this year that pulsates in the mad rhythm - movie per hour (120 films in 120 hours, 25 to 29 July), Motovun Film Festival finished its big summer tour with programme MOTOVUN IN ZAGREB, in a new place called CINEMA LAUBA. The programme included movie projections every night, weekend screenings for children and entertainment after finished projections.
From 20th to 29th August 2015 a sea of films from the Festival program(12 long and 9 short ones) has arrived from the hill into the city, including lovely Icelandic comedy-drama "Virgin Mountain" from Dagur Kari which won three awards at the Tribeca Film Festival, Belgian "Newest Testament" in which we discover that God is actually a selfish bastard who lives in Brussels, "Bridgend" directed by Jeppe Rondela which tells the story of a mysterious teenage suicide, and was based on true events that took place in a Welsh town. The program also brings the controversial documentary "Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief " Alex Gibney who uncovers the dark secrets of ‘’religion of the rich and famous".
